You can help support the ongoing preservation of Ekdahl House through the WSHS Buy-A-Brick program. The bricks are available in two sizes, 4"x 8" ($100) or 8"x 8" ($200). Each brick will be engraved with your family name(s) or a short statement of your choice and will become part of the walkway to the house. The bricks can make a memorable gift, provide a remembrance of a family member, or act as a permanent thank you to a dear friend.

Short Stories

Written by local resident John Devona, this book features 220 short stories and many photos. While not chronological, this collection describes our village’s early years up to the present. If you appreciate history or just want to learn more about our wonderful village, this book is for you! It also makes a great gift for any resident past or present, young or old.

Local artist and long time WSHS supporter Peggy Taylor has created a series of watercolors highlighting various Western Springs landmarks which we have reproduced on these lovely note cards. The set of 8 cards, each with a different image, is a perennial favorite with residents and visitors alike. One of our best sellers, they make a lovely hostess gift and are perfect for sending notes to friends/family.
